Individual performance affects the performance of the entire team. Mentoring and coaching skills are a must for supervisors and front line employees alike. Building a sustainable safety culture takes management commitment, employee involvement, and comprehensive training. It takes time and effort. It means setting high standards, living them, and leading by example.
Have the courage to challenge workers when their performance is not in line with company core values. Success is on the other side of fear.
If we don't pursue excellence, we will never achieve it.
