As many of you already know, we have been working diligently to prepare our application to be recognized as a SHARP company with The Industrial Commission of Arizona / ADOSH. We are finally ready! It has ALWAYS been our strongest desire to provide the safest place possible to work for our people. This is just another tool to help us send our folks home to their loved ones in the same shape they came to work!
SHARP is also the acronym for our core values! Safety, Honesty, Accountability, Respect and Pride in craftsmanship!!
Stay SHARP Bunney's!
One of our Safety and Health goals is to demonstrate that safety and productivity can exist in the same work space. Some of the ways we do this are by reducing employee exposure to recognized hazards, increasing employee awareness of safety and health information, increasing employee hazard awareness, and providing comprehensive training programs. Stay SHARP! Click on the link below to view some of our job sites!
We are proud to announce that SRP has graciously selected Bunney's Inc. to attend their Small Business Leadership Academy! We are very thankful to do business with SRP who is so giving to their community!
Most of the requirements for submitting the SHARP’s application have been completed and your Safety Department is putting the final touches on the items that still need attention. Thanks to everyone who put in extra effort in working toward this goal.
GLOBALLY HARMONIZED SYSTEM:
OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard has undergone significant change to standardize the requirements and to make it more easily understood on a global level. Internationally recognized symbols will be used to represent various warnings and different types of PPE. Many of these changes have been communicated and the formal training program will be complete in the near future.
Today's blog takes a look at the past...
We've come a long way, baby!
Many may not remember the days of the Navajo Beamwalkers
and the 14 ton beams we replaced on the cooling towers
few will remember the crane that flew the skull & crossbones
only some will remember the story behind the man in the pink hard hat
They say pictures are worth a thousand words but so are smiles, and there are many of those in these pictures.
So many things have changed since way back then.
Reflecting on where we came from empowers us to learn from the past, to embrace all the things we did so well and to make improvements continuously to provide the safest workplace possible for our employees and to future generations!
We would like to take a minute to congratulate a couple of Bunney's! Big contrats go out to Joe & Marie Arce who finally tied the knot! We've all been waiting for you to get off your Arss!
Also, big congrats are also in order for Sarah McKay who in addition to being a valued Bunney, she is also a Mother and Wife who recently graduated University of Phoenix with her Bachelors Degree. Yes, those are "Honors" around her neck! Gooooo Sarah!
All things interesting or important.
